The Dublin University Mathematical Society
The student mathematical society was established in 1923 by a group of Trinity students including Nobel Laureate Ernest Walton. The purpose of the society is to provide events of mathematical interest for its members, and to encourage the study of mathematics.
Events
Our events include regular talks from Trinity lecturers and international speakers, competitions like our Integral Bee and Junior/Leaving Cert speed runs, as well as purely social events like pub crawls.
Problem Solving
Our brilliant Quizmaster Andrei hosts weekly problem solving Thursdays at 4pm in the Mathsoc Room. Be sure to come by to try your hand at some fun and challenging problems!
